Good Bye Australia!

Time to say goodbye!

On the way down to Sydney we stopped on the Central Coast in Bateau Bay to spent our last night in the van. There was a special reason to this stop - Irene (my lovely cousin) is living there and she is a very special person to me. She was the one who got me into open arms in Australia even if we have never met before. She sent me a postcard to my birthday which was the first mail ever to my "own" address while traveling. That sounds maybe not special to you, but it was special to me. I felt like being home. I wanted to hug her personally to say good bye and I really enjoyed it.
Even her son David and her doughther Susan were taken really good care of me during my time in Australia. David's family shared their Christmas Day with me and I'm so happy and thankful for these experiences. David gave me and my friends such a special time which I will never forget. Finally we couldn't catch up to say goodbye personally, but I really hope that we see each other soon again - maybe in Germany on a business trip.
I spent my last days in Sydney with the people which have been the most important for me in Australia.
I saw my lovely Brazilian friend Nadia for a final goodbye Coronita and an unforgettable chat.
And I spent one last night on my beloved cruise boat "Morpheus". Thank you Rodney for taking so good care of me. You trusted me straight away and gave me a lot responcebility. You teached me the Australian way of life "take it easy" - which showed me that everything will work out anyway. You made me laugh every day which is the loveliest present to me. The "Morpheus" Crew was my little Australian family. We worked together, we laughed together, we danced, drunk and talked uncountable hours together. I will never forget these legendary moments of my life! Thank you! The tear which is right now running down my face is for you.

Last but not least - my lovely French connection - Valentine and Terrance. I'm so happy that we met and experienced our van/car adventure through the east coast together! Thank you for sharing everything with me - lovely adventures (jet skiing, ocean rafting, snorkeling, surfing) beautiful views (national parks, ocean walks, lookouts) cooking (rice, pasta and 30 cent cones), chatting, looking for showers or going out together. I really enjoyed the time with you and I'm happy to see you soon in France or Germany ;-).

Gooooood Bye beautiful Australia!
I'm sure that we will see us again (hopefully very soon)!
